Elvis Presley was fascinated by spirituality and the paranormal, reading stacks upon stacks of books on the subjects for hours on end upstairs in his Graceland bedroom. Always searching for the transcendent beyond the emptiness of his fame and fortune, the star also believed in UFOs and aliens according to Memphis Mafia members.
His cousin Billy Smith, who knew Elvis before he was famous, said recently on his YouTube channel Elvis Fans Matter: “I think he did [believe in aliens]. He was really interested in them. “He talked about them a lot, how big the universe is and the fact that we could be the only ones that God created. God is not limited.” Meanwhile, Elvis’ spiritual advisor and hairstylist Larry Geller has previously shared The King’s alleged experiences with UFOs.
According to the BBC, the singer shared telepathic visions he experienced with aliens, when he was just 8 years old. One of them included a future Elvis in his white jumpsuit, but he didn’t know what this meant at the time. On another occasion, Geller said he and Elvis saw bright objects in the sky when driving in the desert that then hovered above Graceland at a later date. Apparently, there was a UFO in the sky seen by The King’s father Vernon Presley when his son was being born.
The Memphis Mafia member said: “His father told us he’d gone out to have a cigarette at 2am during the delivery, and when he looked up into the skies above their little shack, he saw the strangest blue light. “He knew right then and there that something special was happening.”
