Ringo Starr Falls Onstage During Performance: ‘I Fell Over to Tell You That’

Ringo Starr took a mid-show tumble while performing his former Beatles bandmate John Lennon’s song “Give Peace a Chance” with his All-Starr Band in New Mexico on Wednesday.

In footage captured by TMZ, the 83-year-old drummer can be seen tripping and falling while returning to the stage to perform an encore. He bounced back quickly and joined his band to sing a chorus of “Give Peace a Chance.”

“I fell over to tell you that,” Starr joked, underlining the importance of the song’s message, before exiting the stage again.

Starr recently reunited with another former bandmate, Paul McCartney, on Dolly Parton’s cover of the Beatles classic “Let It Be.” It was rumored that both surviving members of the Beatles would appear on the Rolling Stones’ new album Hackney Diamonds, but only McCartney has been confirmed as part of the tracklist.
